The house is approximately 15 minutes travelling distance from Lerwick, and on a regular bus route. 

Cunningsburgh Primary School, including Nursery is within walking distance, with the general merchants shop and village hall a short drive away.  There are also fuel pumps, youth clubs, churches and a marina for small boats nearby.  The secondary school for the area is in Sandwick which is approximately 4 miles away and school transport is provided by Shetland Islands Council.

The property as a whole is in need of refurbishment.  Any purchaser would need to make their own enquiries about any Consents which may be required.  Heating is by way of oil fired Rayburn in the Livingroom and a storage heater in the Bedroom. All windows are single glazed.
