The island of Burra is connected to the Shetland Mainland by two bridges.  The house is approximately 10 miles travelling distance from Lerwick, and on a regular bus route. 

The property is within walking distance of Hamnavoe Primary School, local shop/Post Office, public hall, harbour and marina.  The secondary school for the area is in Scalloway which is approximately 5 to 6 miles away and school transport is provided by Shetland Islands Council.

Concrete paths lead from the gate to the second door which is used as the main entrance to 4 Glen.  The path continues around the cottage to the well maintained, mature garden which is laid out with a lawn area, raised floral borders and bushes.  There is a gate giving access to the oil tank and a Small Concrete Shed.  

There is a substantial raised decking area with high fencing  which provides a private and sheltered area for relaxing. 

OUTBUILDINGS

The main Outbuilding is in two parts.  The first part (3.28m x 2.99m) has a fitted workbench, shelves and kitchen unit.  Power and light, concrete floor.  There is a door which leads through to the second part (4.79m x 2.61m max) which has a 1.66m high steel roller door, concrete floor. 

A further Outbuilding is attached to 4 Glen.  The boiler for the central heating system is housed here.  Power and light, concrete floor.

There is a polycarbonate Greenhouse in the garden.  Exterior cold water supply.
